New Lifetime Player Stats Reveal Exactly How Skilled GH5 Opponents Are
Guitar Hero 5's new in-game Leaderboard player score ranking system is both awesome and a major improvement over GH3 and GHWT's ranking systems.
But the ultimate score ranking improvement in GH5 may very well be the brand new "Rock Record".
Awesome New "Rock Record" Player Lifetime Stats Feature:

I've used orange arrows to highlight the above image with what are (in my opinion) the most useful and relevant indicators of a player's skill: Longest Note Streak, Total Time, and Average Multiplier. The example shown here reports that "Fuzworth" has achieved an all-time best 1052 Note Streak, played GH5 for a total of 9 Hours, 23 Minutes, and that his Average Multiplier is 3.589.
Average Multiplier Reveals Exactly How Good a Player Is
In the short time I've had with GH5, I find the Average Multiplier the most telling personal statistic of all. Assuming the person Prefers to play on Expert Guitar, in my experience someone with a:
| Multiplier | Level of Skill |
| 3.0x | Is pretty good at Expert, a better than average Expert player. |
| 3.5x | Very good at Expert, will win Pro Face-Off matches more than they lose. |
| 4.0x | Extremely skilled and experienced player, knows everything about optimizing Star Power, not very common. |
| 4.5-5.0x | The best of the best. I checked a few of the Top 20 Wii players in the world (PSYCHICROCKER77, MetalSmasher86) and they were in this range. |
Of course this data won't be valid if the person has only been playing a short time, or their kid brother plays on their account half the time, etc. But it's safe to say that anybody with several hours of gameplay boasting an Average Multiplier greater than 4.0, is a very skilled player!
The Best Part Is: You Can View Every Player's Rock Record, Anywhere You Want!

Guitar Hero 5 Wii: Manage Player, View Rock Record screen
- Joining an online match (career/quickplay/competitive) and want to check the other players' Rock Record? Click the Yellow "Players" button.
- Just finished a tough Pro Face Off and want to see how good the guy that kicked your butt, really is? Hit the Yellow "Players" button.
- Browsing through the Leaderboards and see an interesting record? You can view any players' Rock Record from the Leaderboards!
This is an unpredecented improvement in Guitar Hero player statistics, and it will give great players a chance to really show off their skill and prove it with results. You can't fake these scores because they get built up slowly over time, whenever you play. I forsee diehard Guitar Hero gamers comparing player stats on a global scale in the near future.
The Rock Record is absolutely my favorite new feature of Guitar Hero 5. Now you can REALLY discover what kind of skill level you are playing with/against. And after a couple months, it will be surprising for all of us to see just how much time we actually spend playing Guitar Hero and how many songs/notes we crank out over time. Imagine being able to say "My GHWT guitar lasted exactly 627,479 notes before I had to replace the strum switches."
FUZWORTH PWNS!
