To make the braid work you need to melt a small amount of solder on the tip of the Iron. Then once you've done this touch the tip to the braid on the solder bead and it will suck it right up. If it doesn't work add a little more solder.

I just fixed mine guitar world tour. Thanks for guide, thanks for everything. I bought radioshacks in UK and just changed the triggers. it's working and I am so proud. I made a lot of high resolution photos, if anyone is interested to have those photos, please send me an e-mail.
The last I have to do is to make strum bar a little harder (tighter) because is soft and I prefer short/tight strum. One more time – thanks a lot

Can someone tell me a similar strum bar repair guide for the warriors of rock guitar please????? Im trying to go for an fc of through the fire and flames on gh3 and it doesnt really help that my down strum either overstrums or just most of the time doesnt register at all -_- SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME

Hey, Jackass!

Why is it you are the only one that is having this problem? I just now fixed mine. It was only the down strum. I desoldered and removed the down strum switch and soldered the new switch in it's place from memory of having read this tut many months prior. It went seamlessly and now both strums work again. Sure, it took me about an hour, but that's probably due to the fact that I've never handled a soldering iron in my life, never fixed electronic components, had shaky hands, and did the job sans the use of a third-hand device to hold the switch board in place whilst foddering with the iron, but I managed nonetheless perfectly.

It's not OPs fault you don't know shit. Stfu.

My switches work fine now, but there is too much play in the strum bar. Anyone try replacing thier springs or have any other suggestions? Also, instead of using desoldering wick, you can crush the switch with pliers & desolder each terminal individulally.

Thanks for showing me how to do this. Those guitars aren't cheap, that is one of the worst feelings in the world when the strum bar breaks.
