Print Your Own Guitar Hero Van Halen Cover Art for Xbox, PS3, Wii

The loudest complaint about the free Guitar Hero Van Halen game offer so far has been without a doubt, the fact it comes in a cardboard "demo" sleeve instead of a full plastic DVD-style case with manual.

Internet to the rescue!  Print your own cover art for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Nintendo Wii thanks to fellow Guitar Hero players from ScoreHero.com, GuitarHero.com forums, and 5Frets.com readers.

The Xbox version was created by ScoreHero.com member "Cyberwaste", and if you like it, he asks that you give him an internet. (I did.) ;-)

For Playstation 3, we've got two choices:

This PS3 version was based off Cyberwaste's work (don't forget to Give Him An Internet), but customized by "keystpwned" from the GuitarHero.com forums.

Sergio at techpedition.com sent along this Playstation 3 cover art he created, with different dimensions and featuring the new PS3 box art style:

Finally, Guitar Hero Community forum member "whitespy12" spent several hours with Photoshop to produce this excellent rendition of Guitar Hero Van Halen Wii case art:

this was a huge let down, not to mention those who were planning on selling their copy cant due to the big fat message slapped on the front of the disk. instead i printed this cover and am selling the game on ebay before the release for 20 dollars off with the case i put it in, since not everyone cares to have a perfect game case like me ;D i wont use the manual, but i still want one

Feel free to contribute your own properly sized PS3 cover art, and I'll gladly add it to the site.

But until that time, beggars can't be choosers…

The Ps3 version looks fine. Look at it, its stretched, print it in the right format.. PS3 cover dimensions are 273 x 149 mm.. my Only complaint is the resolution. but it looks good.

Sergio at techpedition.com has sent in a nice "new style" PS3 cover art; the post has been updated with it.

You'll want to print on some nice glossy paper, a store like OfficeMax would likely have this.  Photo paper might be overkill but worth a shot.  I set up a top notch print myself for the Wii version, only to find that my yellow ink tank is dry.

It took a damn long time to set up all the dimensions and align everything in my printing program and printer/page setup settings to make it 100% correct.

My best advice is to print copies in Draft (uses less ink) and Black and White / Grayscale at first, until you get it exactly correct.  Only then print in color to your glossy paper.

Jon, it looks good; I like the screenshots.  But I can't find a way to view a high resolution version suitable for printing?  Is that a limitation of DeviantArt?  The biggest I see is like 900px.

Wow, that's amazing! Maybe you could have used a Full Band shot (with Vocals), but I'm sure people won't mind.
