Uh, no. I recently got the GH5 guitar kit (game/guitar bundle) and there was no coupon: not in the game case, not with the guitar. Posts in other forums indicate I'm not alone. Activision appears to have bent us over on this one.

Perhaps you could post a scan of the coupon?

Hmm someone else reported the same thing.

Did you buy your GH5 kit retail in the US?  During which month?

My coupon specifically came inside the GH5 Wii game case (packaged with the manual).  I bought the standalone game on release date.

I also have reason to believe DJ Hero included this same coupon but haven't been able to verify it.

Even without the coupon, $20 is a great price for this game.

Also, that is a photo of my actual coupon at the bottom of the post.  Unfortunately I can't take any further photos of it, I redeemed it this morning for Guitar Hero Smash Hits! :) Best Buy had plenty of copies left in stock.

Bought from Amazon last month. Yes, in the USA. It had the Van Halen offer sticker on it, even though that offer apparently expired by the end of October, so apparently it was manufactured before then.

I used my coupon from GH5 on Band Hero.  I didn't get a second coupon though with Band Hero?  It doesnt matter much anyways as i bought Smash Hits on Release for $40 @ TRU.

BTW, Any news on importing any more of the songs from Smash Hits?  I really Need Godzilla and Killer Queen to add to my growing setlist on GH5 and BH.  Also do you think Van Halen will Import in the last week of Dec since we have no new DLC coming out?

There's a chance that GHVH will import. Though, I hope that day will be filled with GHWT & GHSH.

I would really like them to at least let us import some from GHMetallica also, otherwise why include the code on the back of the manual if you don't intend to let us import… Maybe the game has to be out a year contractually before they can allow import from that game???  At least let us import the non-metallica songs off.

Yeah, song importing into GH5 is really the key here. We all want it. We're all willing to pay the Wii/Sony/Xbox points for additional "licensing", why they don't give us what we all clearly want is beyond me.

They said they'll bring us at least 90% of the setlist of all games (if not, they'll work to get more) on an interview I saw before GH5 came out. I hope they're almost done getting the rest of the songs (since there's an opening on December 27th, that may open up some hope for more GHWT & GHSH).

Looks like I missed the sale for 2 reasons.

    1. I used up my money on Metroid Prime Trilogy (great game, or set of games), which was also on sale for $19.99 (minus the $5 coupon my dad had handy).
    2. I already got a Smash Hits manual from Blockbuster, so there's no need for me to buy the actual game.
