A while ago I bought Guitar Hero III for the Wii. Since then every game in the series has made it into my console. Currently I have GH5 and I am extremely disappointed. Other versions of the game get free DLC, yet over the last 5 months 10 songs were released for free on everything but your console. Additionally, RockBand 2 has had some of it's anticipated free tracks absent on the wii. At first I thought it was Activision and Neversoft, but Neversoft released this official statement..

About the missing Wii DLC in World Tour, it seems that the content was removed because we could not continue to have free content in the Wii music store.

Since those particular tracks you want to purchase cannot be placed in the store for free, we can't place them in the music store at all at this time. Those songs are to be specifically distributed as free content so we can't charge for something that is supposed to be free. Against the rules.

I can only conclude that your newest policy prevents free content from appearing in the store. I and many others would appreciate an answer to this question, so we do not have to assume. Why are all music games on Wii lacking free content?

I know this isn’t what you want to hear, but I don't have an answer as to why some songs appear for free on our competitors’ systems and not on Wii.  The Guitar Hero games are published by Activision, an independent company who makes games for our systems as well as our competitors.  This company is ultimately responsible for providing support for Guitar Hero, so I recommend that you contact them directly with your feedback.

As for the free DLC. We look forward to offering more free DLC in the future. We are glad that we have Sony and Microsoft's full support on this. We hope that at some point, we will be able to offer free DLC to our Wii rockers again. But at this point, I do not know if any policies have changed or deals have been made to bring free content to the Wii. If/when that changes, I will come on and post about it because, well, it'll be great news!

Keep up the good work guys – with enough letters, Nintendo will get the message that this is not going unnoticed.
