I use solderless wiikey 2. GH5 Didnt work with 4.0U so I ran update from 4.0u to 4.3U, it did not effect any apps I had on my system (Homebrew). I have back up GH5 & works fine.

The Update installs something called a cIOS ( cIOS56-64-v5146-rev14) a Input output system that allows the user (you) to use streaming SD content and some other new features so it dose not do anything t you know what but it is required

this isn´t a "forced" update, it´s a simple update to install IOS56 (google it) to run Guitar Hero 5!

This kind of stuff has made up my mind not to buy any of the new gen consoles. I'm a strictly offline play kind of person. Sad that I can only play games from yesteryear for this reason.

if your of the homebrew variety then download the .IS0 and patch it with wii br!ck bl*cker. google that. itll remove the system update.
