The Update installs something called a cIOS ( cIOS56-64-v5146-rev14) a Input output system that allows the user (you) to use streaming SD content and some other new features so it dose not do anything t you know what but it is required

this isn´t a "forced" update, it´s a simple update to install IOS56 (google it) to run Guitar Hero 5!

This kind of stuff has made up my mind not to buy any of the new gen consoles. I'm a strictly offline play kind of person. Sad that I can only play games from yesteryear for this reason.

if your of the homebrew variety then download the .IS0 and patch it with wii br!ck bl*cker. google that. itll remove the system update.

I recently bought GH5. I have been using 4.2U. I don't run homebrew. However, I would like to point out it still forced an update, and after the update my wii no longer detects my wireless router (a cisco/linksys WRT110)…which has pissed me off to no end. Most of my neighbors' wireless connections disappeared as well. I only see one faint, secure connection when I had many strong secure/non-secure connections earlier. What is going on? Why break wireless router compatibility for a game? I've tried resetting everything. Other devices such as my laptop see the router just fine. Whatever that update did, it borked my wii's ability to detect my router…

Hi all, i bought an original copy of GH5.
I don't want to do the update. So i update some I0S like the 38,53,55,56.
But on the disc channel is still remaining the update adv.

I'm running on a fw 3.4E s*ftmodded with cI0S rev10 di Waninoko.

Was running homebrew and installed the GH5 update, now I only ge a blank black screen after powering on … yay me
